my first movie review!!

hello !!

its been AGES since i blogged.
AND its also AGES since i watch a movie!!

last thursday i finally watched a movie!!


it is HUNGER GAMES!!!

and may the odds be ever in your favour.

why did i watch the hunger games?

coz i dont know! there is nothing to watch? some of my friends says that john carter isnt worth to watch, some even slept in the theatres, lorax is a cartoon =.= .. warth of the titians isnt just my type.

so we ended up watching the HUNGER GAMES.

my supervisor at work says that its a classic story line, just like battle royalle. :/ hummmm.. but i didnt watcg battle royalle. oh wells. ahah!!

okayy.. i am not going to talk about the HUNGER GAMES's plot, you can read it from wikipedia. which is what i did. right before the movies =.=

i will definitely recommend all of my friends to watch it. maybe not because of the story line, but because it is an emotional roller coster! haha! i swear my emotions were all over the place when i watched it. sometimes touched, scared, nervous, etc etc.

i absolutely love the part where 

this lady volunteered herself in place of her younger sister to take part in the HUNGER GAMES! it was very emotional for me. i couldnt put myself into her shoes. i was so touched that she put her life at risk to save her sister's... ... i have a younger sister myself, if my younger sister were to be called for hunger games, i dont know if i could do the same as her. i dont think i would have the guts to stand up and save my sister and put my life at risk.

that part was the most emotional part of the whole movie, for me. i cried. haahha!!

so anyways, my ratings for this movie

plot: 3.5/5

photography: 2.5/5 . i didnt like how the film was taken. the camera zoomed to the actors' and actresses' face and the cameraman wasnt steady so i watched the film until i was dizzy. i mean u are staring at the actress's face but you cant see clearly because the cameraman kept moving. so i didnt liked it.:/

worth the watch? absolutely!

recommend friends to watch? DUHHHH

okayyy.. not only is the movie worth the watch, the china glaze collection for the hunger games is relatively popular too!

i really want the Luxe and Lush from this series! its some irregular gold flakes!... ... okayyy i want it so badly because i dont have a nail polish that is irregular in shaped. i have all the glitter stuff but not the flakes. if you get what i mean... ...

hahaha!!

so i went online, went to orchard flee at scape, and THEY WERE ALL SOLD OUT!!! #()$!(%(#!)!#_$!#($*(

the next batch of stocks only come in after 3 weeks. so i have to wait!! zzzzzzz

oh! since i am talking about buying nail polish, this are the places i will buy my nail polish from:

this is a online shop, sometimes they will have fleas all around singapore. they even have a gmarket account! so you can buy stuff from this site and ship it to your place!

this online shop sells nail polish, make up, some tote bags. check it out!

another place is orchard flea at scape. there is always this booth of nail polish.. .. and they are permamently there. thursday to sunday.

so if you are interested in getting nail polishes that are cheaper than retail price from ie: tangs, BHG, sephora etc etc you can check it out at those two places! you cant get services like in the retail shops but you can get your authentic polishes at almost half the retail price!!

so ya.. i shall end my post because i need to work! hahaha!!

tomorrow is CHRISTMAS!!!

one is at 12.30 and another at 7,00pm. and the reporting time is 8am and 5pm..

8am?!!! like crazy!! i usually wake up at 11am ! now you are asking me to wake up at 6 am in order to reach at 8am?!! siao!

so anyways, my auntie had extra bonus this year!
she whatsapp me asking what i want for christmas. and i said i wanted the new nicki minaj OPI collection!

AND SHE REALLY GOT IT FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LIKE omg!

she got for me the muppets mini collection too!

so its 8 mini bottles of OPI polishes!... ...

i told my mum that my auntie got 8 polishes for me. and she sort-a scolded me.
because i got my sister's classmate who is a korean girl to get like $10 worth of korea nail polish for me from korea itself! and korea nail polish can go as cheap as 1000won per bottle! its slightly over a dollar singapore money. so its damn cheap!
i will be receiving approximately 10 bottles of korean nail polish and my 8 mini OPI polishes!!

so its about 20 nail polishes at a go!!!

my mum went like "why do you want to many nail polishes?!" 

seriously. this polish addiction is getting greater and greater!
i MUST ban myself from purchasing ANY polishes from now till i used up most of them!

i dont mind receiving free samples or free polishes from anybody obviously!
but buying them myself is a big NO NO!





i will show you my new polishes once i received them!! the korean ones and the OPI! :DDDD

kpop outfits inspired nails!

i have been reading lisa's blog! and she have some awesome kpop inspired nails!

i have decided to do one of her secret design!

i didnt have ANY silver polishes. :/ so i used some gold tape to do the designs!!
i used polishes from my sem break haul.
the faceshop polishes and rainbow's black colour.

my semester holiday haul

hi there! i just started school ( for 3 weeks already) and i spent quite a lot of nail polishes during my semester break.

and i really mean quite a lot! considering that i am a student. and singaporean students   i have no money UNLESS i work. because the pocket money i got from my parents are for my food only. and a little bit of stationery if i save a little bit and starbucks once in a while if i save.



so TADA!! my new babies~~~






9 bottles in total!!! 


2 from THEFACESHOP $7.80 each. they are the "more expensive" ones. usually i just get the $2.90 polishes from there. but i really like the colours :DDDDD

2 from ETUDEHOUSE  this is a steal! really! even though i think that polishes from this brand isnt THAT fantastic. but i got it at 30% off!!! its usual price was $2.50 per bottle. and i got it at $1.75 per bottle!!!

2 RAINBOW brand  this is sorta a "rubbish" brand. this brand is made by a local company that tries to sell cosmetic products at GOOD prices. i went to get this polish because my mum had one "from her generation"  from a long time ago. and i still can use it! i mean that it isnt dried up and yucky like the other polishes my mum had. furthermore, it is really sold at a good price! $1.80 per bottle!!! if you got them at $2.00 or $2.20, it means your money has been cheated! hahah!! i went to do some research on this brand and in retail, the cheapest is $1.80 :DDDDDD


1 rubi hahah for this polish there is a story behind it. once upon a time, there was a clearance sale by COTTONON. and in this clearance sale,they sold assessories at 10 for $10!! so i asked my mum to head there to get SOMETHING (my mum is sort of a COTTONON fan. she ALWAYS go in and managed to buy tonnes of clothes from there for herself, my sis and i) and she got the 10 for $10. 6 rose ear-rings of -different colour each, 1 pearl ear-ring, 2 bracelets, and a bottle of polish that she picked last for me. :DDDDDDD


1 OPI nail envy MATTE i am trying this out :DDDD but i am not very impressed by the matte finish it has. :/

before i took the picture above, i spent 20 minutes looking for these two new babies. my mum hid it as i didnt "keep my babies properly" :S and my mum ALWAYS hide it at some lame place like in my drawer, in my bag, in her room, on her dressing table! =.=

Random THEFACESHOP polishes

Hi! I just went to vivo city and tried out some random glitter polishes!! These are the slightly more expensive bottles ($7.90). I didnt buy them. I just went into the store to try them (without buying. Opps.)

Before that I also went to étude house to try their newest polishes, matte polishes. (they have 10% storewide). However, it's bottle was tiny and it cost $5.90 per bottle. So I did not feel that it's worth it and I didn't buy any.

I think I will go there tml :/ hahaha!!

So what do you think is the MUST HAVE OPI or china glaze polishes??

Crazy sales anyone??

Does ANYBODY know where and WHEN is there a maybe like warehouse sale/clearance sales for branded nail polishes in SINGAPORE?? eg for OPI china glaze etc. Actually thefaceshop, skinfood polishes is okay for me too. AS LONG AS IT'S cheapER!!

I'm sooooo jealous that in come countries they have crazy sales where they can buy nail polishes like nobody's business without spending lots of money!
